The Climate Change Delusion ?
In August, our speaker, Ian Bull, spoke on the climate change delusion. With his engineering degree, he had worked in the power industry for 20 years. He believes that climate change is not man made, but a natural phenomenon. There have been natural climate changes over the centuries.
In coal powered plants, 99.5% of pollution is removed by the electrostatic precipitator. 97% of CO2 is generated by nature. Talk of zero CO2 is madness as nature requires CO2 for existence.
Climate alarmists blame CO2 for floods, fires, etc. Ian, being a sceptic, believes that climate doesn’t change quickly, even though 62% believe man causes change…without solid evidence. Politicians keep people in a state of alarm.
Scientists blame the industrial revolution for the temperature hike of 1.2 deg over the last 100 years. Modelling attempts to predict temperature rises, which isn’t easy to do.
Renewables must be expensively backed up, especially batteries. What if there is no wind?
